First skein of hand spun : Part 2

I didn't want to ply the hand spun roving back on itself and only get half the yardage.

Enter recycled sweater yarn.

100% Cashmere from thrifted sweater. In. Purple.

Enter Kool-Aid ~

I love how the water turns clear when the yarn exhausts the dye.

Over dyed, no longer purple, cashmere yarn.

Re-spun the recycled yarn on the spindle to put twist back in the cashmere..

.. then plied it with the hand spun wool roving..

TA -DA!!
My first "real" skein of yarn!!

About 69 yards of wool / cashmere.

Dreaming of a wheel..

..dreaming..
