I had my doubts last fall as I pruned and replanted the raspberry bed.
My sister-in-law and a friend of my mom had given us some raspberry canes.
One is a cold hearty Canadian variety..I can't remember the name.
It's taken a few years for them to take off..
YAY!
I love to crawl down the path under the canes as the morning sun shines through.
Red berries hanging in a forest of green.
We are so thankful for the large red sweet berries.
(Thanks Sandy and Kim!!)
They freeze wonderfully if you spread them out on a cookie sheet. Perfect to
add to homemade yogurt parfaits..
Next stop..
Picking the blueberries!
: ))
Hooray for summer!
