Down the trail
in the woods
you'll find
moss.
I ::love:: moss!

Moss with soldiers at attention.

Moss draped on logs like a lace table cloth.

Miniature mushrooms hiding in moss.

Moss rounds on moss.
and up the valley..

Waterfalls with moss.
So magical... I don't ever want to leave.

Ancient rock filled, moss covered valleys,
where if you glance over your shoulder,
you just might see the shadow of a dinosaur
disappearing behind one of the moss covered boulders!

I do believe this is where fairies live.
...and some trolls.
Magical.
I find that after a day of dealing with paperwork, phone calls, and task management, nothing soothes my mind more than images (and places) like these. Thank you.
Such lovely variety! With our climate, we have fewer kinds, but lovely all the same!
This is the best season for a moss walk, isn't it? Last year, we took a deep ramble in the woods, just before the first snowfall. The moss was the one remaining green thing, and we got down and enjoyed the grandeur of its intricacy.
