I never got around to that fire yesterday.
We have this apple tree out by the garden that has been there forever.

It's never had very many apples on it, but for some reason this year..apples!
Not the best looking on the outside, but perfectly fine on the inside.
Note to self: learn to prune fruit trees.
..sigh..
Dump in seeds, skins, apple chunks and all ~ Crank the handle ~ and applesauce comes out!
Not sure if those were "applesauce" kind-of-apples, but I am not going to look a gift apple in the mouth!
Tastes pretty good too!!

I'll bet it's delicious! Lucky find on the Squeeze-O!!
Just wondering when the blue sky happened? My daughter has been complaining that it has been raining for almost three days now ;). She doesn't do rain well.
We had a phenomenal pear season as well, and have heard the apple harvest has been even better.
Love homemade applesauce!

I can almost smell those apples from here.
I have got to find a Squeeze-O! It has been a marvelous season for fruit in the England!
My parents apple tree? Two apples! They were way up high and we had to climb for them, but we managed :)
I love making apple sauce and your tool looks great Leigh. Beautiful photos too! Sorry about the rain.. us too here and there lately.
my mom used to make applesauce from apples picked in our orchard. nothing quite like homemade applesauce. a favorite meal was fried pork chops, fried potatoes and homemade applesauce (probably not the healthiest but very tasty).
Loving that stainless steel mill. Awesome! Any markings, numbers, ect to find another?
