Sun!

What was that? Sun? Hooray!
Forgive me. Really. I just needed some sun today.
So did the bees.. who were quite busy and happy to be out.
So did the chicks - who were also happy to have a long run in the yard while I changed out the sand in the coop. This is our little A-Frame Woodland Coop. Forgive us. We had no idea what we were doing. The chickens were coming and they needed a coop. The run detaches and can be pulled around the yard (wheels at another time...) and the top comes off the base, if we would need to move it. Built it out of left over garage lumber. Painted the tar paper green so it would blend in.. maybe? Mission control to pine tree..

muy bien. (sorry, I couldn't resist)
Thanks so much for showing us your coop. I feel a bit better now about my chickens in captivity. I love your coop and it's design. Makes for happy chicks right!
Bueno!
(me too.)
I LoVE your chicken coop...how awesome is that? I bet you have some happy ladies living there in style...I also like the concept of how the run can detach. There are just so many cool ideas for coops. One idea that I really like is one out of England that is called "Omlette" that is pretty mobile.
Fannie is so cute, you got me thinking....
...and there is no better elixer than the sun...soak up those glorious rays, sure helps lift the mood.
Yay!
Um...no habla espanol?
What's to forgive? That is a fabulous coop!! Have you seen ours? Talk about using leftovers...yikes. We were on a TIGHT budget.
I love that last picture of Fannie...so cute.
Loved seeing your hives there in the fall trees! I've been looking at mine in the garage thinking I need to get it painted so it is ready come spring and hopefully a shipment of bees this time! And you're coop is great! Looks comfy for your girls and I personally love the green color!
Okay, I took a bit of high school French, but no Spanish. Here is what Ricardo said per on-line translator:
I am beginning to make a blog and I see what is possible to do. This blog of bees shows me the variety of possible inputs. Thank you.
This very nicely,

Love your sweet woodland coop! I am rather obsessed with coop design and yours gets two thumbs up from me.
LOVE IT! Happy chickens lay happy eggs...
It's awesome. I love the rustic look.
Ok, working for an architect, I want to just tell you that I love the coop design. What a cute A-frame! Fannie is darn cute too.
We had sun and 77 yesterday - Hip Hip Hooray! No more though. Rain is coming back today and temps are gonna take a nose-dive. Ugh!
That's one cute hen house!!!
That's one cool coop! The fact that it's mad out of all recycled materials just adds to it. Great photo of Fannie :) Adios
I like your coop too! I wish I had known more about chickens when I designed our two coops. My girls are happy as anything, and very healthy....but I just know I would have done a few things differently. Great post, great blog!
Cute, cute, cute! Love your little coop.
And the hives. Perfect picture.
We got that same cold dreary rain. Did you get the lovely sun an warmth this week?
H-E-A-V-E-N.

Oh...I think your a-frame coop is fantastic!...and it looks like the chickens think so too!
It's a great little chicken coop and much nicer than mine probably. Love the chick pics.~~Dee
I love the coop! Question...I read you put sand somewhere? Where and why? We have chickens...that's why I'm asking! Thanks! : )
