Mom and just finished digging up the rest of the potatoes. Not such a fun idea on a sunny, humid, 85 degree day. So far they are looking spared by the blight, but I am keeping an eye on them.
Total Katahdin and Pontiac Red potatoes: 229.5 pounds
(2.5 rows of about 90 feet long)

i'm so jealous of your potato haul~ but also so glad that they seem to be blight-less.
229 pounds? MIne all fit into one hand this year!
Oh good golly Miss Molly...hope you have a humongous root cellar!
That really is incredible - you all, obviously, have very green thumbs...and I'm so glad they're blight-free!
oh my gosh - you crack me up! how long will those potatoes last - meaning will they go bad?
obviously, I know nothing.
I thought you had a large blueberry harvest, but boy, you could feed a small army with all those taters! I hope they remain blight-free through out the winter for you.
that's a heck of a lot of taters!!!
potatoes are the one perfect food to me. i could eat them in any way, shape or form every day.
way to go farmer girl!
That is so awesome...do you have a cold cellar? I don't think I could store potatoes here...unless I find a warmer weather variety?
Post office. Tomorrow morning. FOR SURE.
That's a lot of potatoes! I hope that you have fully rested today. Happy Tuesday!
soooooo fabulous!!!! : )
Holy cow! I can't believe how much you have already harvested~ Makes my 17 pounds seem even more of a failure. next year it's into the ground for sure:-D
That's a bunch of tators! I loved digging up potatoes with my mom as a little girl. I always felt like I was digging for buried treasure. She stored them in our basement on old window screens. We had garden fresh potatoes all winter long.
My favorite thing in the garden. We dug some yesterday, and have to finish up here soon.
229 pounds?! Wow.
Amazing! That is truly insiring, both your work ethic and the harvest. I hope you had some lemonade waiting for you at the end of it.
Love this photo!!! Your potato crop is amazing, too.
